Essential Oils Cooking Tips
When a recipe calls for less than a teaspoon of an herb or spice, dip a toothpick in the oil and then swirl the toothpick into your mixing bowl or pot. Use the “Toothpick Method” for oregano oil because dōTERRA essential oils are much stronger than their companion spices.
doTERRA essential oils are concentrated and more potent than the dry herb. Unlike dried herbs, which lose up to 90% of their healing nutrients and oxygen molecules, essential oils do not. Essential oils are a fantastic flavor addition to any recipe. Just start off using a single drop, or less, so as not to waste your essential oil and ruin your recipe. You can always add another drop if you need more.
